Plus Compagny & Cossette Creative Campus

STRATEGIC DESIGN AS ACCELARATOR FOR BACK TO THE OFFICE

After a period at WeWork, Cossette and Plus Compagny have now taken up residence in the former Shopify space, located in the Amia Tower, near Old Montreal.

LAAB's strategic design mission was to bring together a mix of ingredients that would stimulate and accelerate a return to office momentum. The Plus Company Campus is proof of concept that great office design can create great business outcomes and buck doomsayer back-to-the-office projections.

The project consists of the development of a 35,000 square foot floor to bring together all the firms on a single campus. The goal was to design offices focused on the employee experience to encourage the return of remote workers to the office. Thanks to a transformation that was both simple and spectacular, LAAB was able to capture the essence of the brand and the culture of Plus Compagny.

The keenest insight came from their shared focus on UX design. Their common goal became to model the new workplace around the staff experience and the shared culture, rather than strictly from upper management’s perspective. The new layout flowed naturally from this stance.

In addition to optimized work spaces, the new campus offers a bistro designed as a relaxed meeting and working place, offering a breathtaking view of Victoria Square. Users rediscover the famous Club Cossette, redesigned in a new formula along the visual axis of McGill, establishing a strong link with the city and Silo No. 5. At the entrance to the campus, the reception office, enveloped in A mysterious dichroic and mirror structure perfectly embodies the identity of Plus Compagny, thanks to carefully crafted brandscaping.

As for the design itself, the result is a mesmerizing space that almost inebriates its visitors with a rich promenade, visual stimulation, and a tangible creative ambiance. The office design and its signature have created a rare consensus among visitors, staff, management, and clients; they just love it and can’t get enough of it.
