District 55
location: Trois-Rivières, Canada
client: Groupe Robin

The Challenge
Developed since 2016 by Groupe Robin, District 55 aims to become an integrated district, designed as a true living environment. This vision requires moving beyond the mere juxtaposition of functions to create a coherent and legible whole. The challenge, therefore, is to craft a strong, unifying narrative framework capable of structuring the site’s development, giving it a shared identity, and ensuring a smooth, synergistic articulation between residential and commercial components.
The Response
A territorial signature was developed to structure and guide the development of District 55. It is built around two complementary narrative frameworks: the Courtepointe, which defines the District’s physical framework and its five tiles, linking residential and commercial areas; and the Confluence, which organizes landscapes and user pathways, expressing encounters, flows, and lived experience.
By combining structure and landscapes, this signature ensures coherence, identity, and urban quality, where each tile and each public space becomes a harmonized yet distinct landmark—creating an integrated, vibrant neighborhood rooted in its territory.
